Still Trying to Catch Up

Although I thought I'd be tired of socks by the time that Summer of Socks 2007 was over, it turns out that I really LIKE not having to refer to a pattern at all. It's especially nice for Knitting In Public, which is most of what I've been doing lately.

Therefore, I've got quite a few more sock pictures to share:

First: Purple Trekking from Kirkwood Knittery. 1st sock. No Change.
Second: J-Knits "Denver" from Knitorious. This sock done & 2nd started.
Third: Panda Wool from Chris Needlecraft. Same amount done on both socks.

First: Etsy hand-dyed yarn from Unwind. Toes left to do.
Second: J-Knits "New Mexico" from Knitorious. 1st sock done & 2nd started.
Third: Mountain Colors "Glacier Teal" from Knitorious. 1st sock done & 2nd started.

I also managed to finish two pairs of socks in November, both with yarn from The Loopy Ewe. The pink is Apple Laine & the "Painted Desert" is Scarlet Fleece.

The pink Apple Laine socks were started last spring, but set aside during Summer of Socks, since anything cast on before the Summer Solstice "didn't count" for that knit-along. I finally finished toes for them last month. They had been sitting on the needles, mostly complete, for 4-5 months; so I thought it was about time to finish them.

All of these pictures are from over a week ago, because the weather has been too grey & overcast lately to take any updated pictures. It's difficult for me to manage good knitting pictures at this time of year, when the days are so short & there is less opportunity for natural light.
