Cell phone pictures are much better quality than they used to be. Tedious to upload to the web, but good enough quality to sub in for the camera temporarily.

Yesterday was gorgeous, but cold. I snapped this one on my way back from the first meeting of the St. Louis Gateway Knitters. It's going to be nice to have even more options to go out & knit with folks on whichever weekends my kids are at their dad's house.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day yesterday! We had family over for a combined Birthday/Mother's Day celebration. The grownups sat on the back porch & chatted while the kids played outside most of that time.

Sky pictures on Saturday

We've occasionally been hearing an owl outside, which is unusual for our suburban area. Earlier this week, I managed to catch a decent picture of it in our neighbor's tree. Have I mentioned that I love the zoom on my camera?



I wasn't sure I'd manage a sky picture today. It's been very rainy here for the past couple of days. We did have a bit of a break in it during the middle of the day today, though, which gave me a chance to take my camera outside without worrying about it getting wet.

We woke up to grey skies & a dusting of snow coming down here this morning. The sun is out now, & the roads didn't have anything stick to them. It was just enough snow to look pretty.

The geese have left the pond & shaken the snow off their backs. They certainly look much prettier in this picture than when they are honking around my backyard.
